Another Honor For Morris

For the second time this year, Carl Morris has added National Player of the Week to his lengthy resume. This time Morris helped his Walter Payton Award chances with a record-breaking performance at Dartmouth.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound wide out from Sterling, Va., caught a school-record 21 passes to become just the 10th player in NCAA Division I history (I-A and I-AA) to catch that many in a single game. Those receptions went for 257 yards (also a school record) and two touchdowns in a 31-26 victory at Dartmouth. The win was Harvard's 11 straight Ivy League victory.

Morris now has 73 receptions and 1,068 receiving yards on the year, surpassing the single-season marks (71 catches, 943 yards) he set last season. He also leads all of Division I in receiving yards per game (152.57), and ranks second in I-AA receptions per game (10.43).
