Princeton senior Tim Lahey (Worcester, Mass.) batted .500 in four games during the week to lift his average by 53 points. On Saturday against Columbia, he set a Princeton record for home runs in a game as he belted three of them in the second game of the doubleheader. It was a huge week altogether for Lahey. He went a combined 8-for-16 with nine RBIs, seven runs scored, four home runs, two doubles and five walks.

Dartmouth senior Tim Grant (Vancouver, British Columbia) tossed complete game victories against Cornell and Brown to improve his Ivy record to 3-0. Grant gave up just one run and four hits while striking out six in Dartmouth's 8-1 win over Cornell. With the Big Green tied in the standings with division-rival Brown Sunday, Grant allowed two runs on five hits with five strikeouts in a 4-2 win over the Bears. Grant moved to 4-2 for the year and lowered his ERA to 4.61.

Yale freshman first baseman Marc Sawyer (Largo, Fla.) went 9-for-15 (.600) with three RBI, two doubles and 11 total bases in two doubleheaders against Harvard. Sawyer, who leads the Bulldogs with a .398 batting average, has hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, going 18-for-39 (.462) during that stretch.

Penn’s Alex Blagojevich (Tampa, Fla.) finished the week with a .320 average, collecting eight hits, including one double and the grand slam for six RBI on the week.

In the four game series versus Princeton, Columbia’s Steve Compton (Springfield, Pa.) hit .667 (10-of-15) with two doubles, two home runs and six RBI. He finished the series with a 1.200 slugging percentage and a .722 on-base percentage.

In game one on Sunday at Columbia, Princeton freshman Gavin Fabian (Mission Viejo, Calif.) surrendered just one run on five hits while throwing just 81 pitches. His performance lowered his ERA to 2.52 and in 50 innings of work, he has just two walks.

In 7 innings against Dartmouth, Brown senior RHP Sam Jennings (New Ashford, Mass.) allowed the League's number one hitting team just four hits and one unearned run. He cruised through four straight hitless and six straight scoreless innings in the 4-2 extra innings win.

Dartmouth senior Ed Lucas (Deltona, Fla.) hit .12-for-23 (.522) with seven runs scored and six RBI, and had a .607 on base percentage to pace Dartmouth to a 5-1 record in Ivy games. Against Cornell, he went 6-for-9 with a home run, double, four runs scored and five RBI in a doubleheader sweep. Saturday against Brown, Lucas went 5-for-9 with a run and an RBI, including a 4-for-5 effort in a 6-3 win. The next day, Lucas went 1-for-5 with two runs scored, but also reached base four times on walks.

Cornell sophomore C/1B William Pauly (Atlantic Beach, Fla.) drove in the winning run versus Le Moyne with a double, giving the Red its first win over the Dolphins in 13 games. In seven games last week, he led team with 14 total bases, a .519 slugging percentage, a .400 on base percentage, and was second on the team overall with his .324 batting average.

Dartmouth freshman Stephen Perry (Milford, N.H.) recorded a win and a no decision in two Ivy starts this week. Perry surrendered just one run and four hits in six innings of work in a 13-6 win against Cornell Wednesday. He gave up three earned runs in 6.1 innings of work in Dartmouth's 10-5 triumph against Brown Sunday.

Harvard sophomore OF/RHP Lance Salsgiver (Davison, Mich.) came in relief of Trey Hendricks on Sunday and tossed three innings of two-hit ball as the Crimson took the final game of a four-game set with Yale. Salsgiver faced 12 batters, striking out six and walking just two.

Yale sophomore Alec Smith (Turlock, Calif.) allowed one run and four hits in a seven inning, complete game victory over Harvard last Saturday. Smith, who earned his team-leading fifth win and lowered his ERA to 2.51 on the season, has allowed three earned runs over his last 21.2 innings and has won his last three conference decisions.

Cornell senior RHP Luke Staskal (Vernon, Iowa) threw a four-hitter in a complete game win 9-2 win over Penn. Staskal was the only Big Red pitcher to not give up an extra base hit on the week and led all Big Red hurlers with his five Ks.

Yale sophomore Matt Stone (Irvine, Calif.) went 7-for-15 with seven RBI in two doubleheaders, leading Yale to a 3-1 weekend against archrival Harvard, including a 4-for-4 performance with two RBI in game one on Sunday.

In six League games, Brown freshman 1B/LF Devin Thomas (Gainesville, Fla.) drove in a team-high 13 runs, including a three in a walk-off homerun in the Bears thrilling 4-2 victory over Dartmouth. He went 8-25 at the plate for a .320 average with four doubles and four runs scored.
