Princeton senior defender Brea Griffiths (Burlington, Ontario) scored Princeton's first goal in a 3-0 win over Yale, while also leading a defense that shut out Yale and Hartford. The Tigers held held a Yale squad that was averaging 14.3 shots per game to just five shots in Princeton's Ivy-opening win. The Griffiths-led backfield also held Hartford to just four shots in the Tigers' 4-0 win.

Cornell freshman midfielder Kelly Kosco (Edmonds, Wash) scored the game-winner for the Big Red in a 2-1 win over Columbia on Saturday. The goal, which came in the 77th minute, was the first of her career. Kosco was able to volley a crossing pass into the Columbia goal and put the Big Red up for good. Kosco's goal helped the Big Red win for the third time in four games.

Big Red junior midfielder Kara Ishikawa (Mililani, Hawaii), recorded her team-leading third goal of the season in a win over Columbia on Saturday. Early in the first half, Ishikawa was positioned in front of the net when a Cornell shot hit the crossbar. She one-timed it past the Columbia netminder for the goal. The goal ended a five-game win streak and 400-plus minute scoreless streak for Columbia. Ishikawa has recorded a tally in three of the four Big Red victories this season and she leads the team in points with six.

Dartmouth sophomore forward/midfielder Sarah Johnson (Shorewood, Minn.) scored an insurance goal in the Big Green's 2-0 win over Brown on Sunday. She leads the team in scoring with five goals and 10 points.

Yale junior midfielder Laurel Karnes (Omaha, Neb.) was Yale's most dangerous player against Princeton as she led the team with three shots. She has started all eight games for the Bulldogs and is tied for second in scoring with four points (1 goal, 2 assists).

Princeton freshman midfielder Diana Matheson (Oakville, Ontario) scored the Tigers' first goal in the win over Hartford. Matheson has four goals in seven games, leaving her halfway to the school freshman record of eight.

Columbia sophomore defender Bailey Schroeder (Burlington, Ontario) scored the Lions only goal in their 2-1 loss to Cornell. Schroeder, who also had a fine match playing the center of the midfield, notched her first collegiate goal on the tally.

Harvard junior goalkeeper Katie Shields (Dana Point, Calif.) had an impressive week despite the game results, as she allowed just one goal in two contests. She battled through a double-overtime scoreless tie on Wednesday against Boston University, and then had her streak of 271:16 snapped with Penn's lone goal in a 1-0 loss to the Quakers.

Penn junior defender Robin Watson (Hamilton, Mass.) was instrumental in Penn’s 1-0 victory over Harvard on Sept. 26. Playing for all 90 minutes, she was a part of a backline that held Harvard to just three shots in the second half to secure the shutout for the Quakers.

In Brown's only game of the week, Brown junior goalkeeper Hillary Wilson (Monterey, Calif.) recorded seven saves in the Bears' loss to Dartmouth, holding the Big Green scoreless for the second half. She currently has a 1.13 goals against average and a .904 save percentage with 2 shutouts.
