CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Princeton senior Melissa Finley (London, Ontario) hit .381, tallied four RBI and scored four runs in a 5-3 week for the Tigers. Finley hit her team-leading fourth home run of the season in the first 1-0 victory in the eventual sweep of Pacific. Against Saint Mary’s, Finley went 2-3, while being walked once, scored three runs and recorded an RBI in the 6-1 win. In the second UC Davis game she scored two runs in the 3-1 victory for the Tigers. Finley earned her 14th RBI of the season as she hit a sacrifice fly out to center field for the insurance run in the 2-0 win over third-ranked Stanford. Finley, currently, leads the team in batting average (.368), hits (21), doubles (6) and slugging percentage (.719).

Columbia junior DH Taylor Tierney (Eden Prairie, Minn.) was a force at the plate for the Lions last Tuesday, notching 10 RBI, a grand slam and a bases loaded triple in an afternoon sweep of Cleveland State and George Mason. Against Cleveland State in the bottom of the fifth inning with a full count and bases loaded, Tierney hit a grand slam over the centerfield fence, to give the Lions a four-run lead. Columbia won the game 6-1 and Tierney accounted for all six RBI, hitting a two-RBI single in the third inning. Later that day, facing George Mason, Tierney was able to account for four more RBI, hitting a triple with the bases loaded and then scoring herself when the right fielder made a throwing error on the same play. The Lions won four of their six contests last week and have taken seven of their last nine overall.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Princeton junior pitcher Erin Snyder (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) led the Tigers to three wins from the mound this week, including a 2-0 shutout over No.3 Stanford. Against the Cardinals, Snyder allowed only two hits, two walks and earned five strikeouts. Snyder tallied 11 strikeouts in the 6-3 win over Colorado State. She picked up another eight in the second 1-0 win over Pacific to earn the sweep. In the doubleheader with the Gaels of Saint Mary's, Snyder went 4-for-8 at bat, recorded two RBIs and scored a run. Snyder is 7-2 for the season, holds a .92 ERA in 61 innings, and is second on the team in batting average with a .317. With 85 strikeouts this season and 421 in her career, Snyder is four short of the third-best spot on the career strikeouts list for Princeton.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Penn freshman 2B Annie Kinsey (West Hills, Calif.) continued to impress, batting .455 with 11 total bases, three runs batted in and a run scored for the Quakers last week. In Penn's 9-4 victory over Lafayette at the Mizuno/Anderson Bash at the Beach on March 18, Kinsey went 4-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. That same day, she went 2-for-3 with a RBI in Penn's 4-1 win over Saint Joseph's. Overall, Kinsey, who has started all 16 games at second base, is second on the team in hitting (.412) with a team-high 21 hits, including a team-high four doubles, and is second in RBI with nine. Kinsey has not struck out in 51 at-bats this season.

THE HONOR ROLL
Columbia junior pitcher Jackie Adelfio (Old Bride, N.J.) went 3-0 last week, beating George Mason, Mount St. Mary’s and Maryland. Adelfio shut out George Mason 8-0, pitching five innings, allowing two hits and striking out five. Against the Mountaineers, she pitched seven innings, allowing one run while striking out three. Columbia beat the Terrapins for the first time in the program’s history, with Adelfio pitching seven innings and allowing only two runs. With her three wins last week, Adelfio improved her season record to 7-3.

Dartmouth sophomore Kelly Fry (Marietta, Ga.) is currently tied for the team lead with a .500 batting average. She has had four hits in eight at-bats with two doubles and two RBIs in three games. In Dartmouth's first win of the season, a 3-2 victory over St. Mary's, Fry hit a double in the bottom of the fourth, knotting the game at one. In the bottom of the seventh with the Big Green down, 2-1 and runners on first and second, Fry hit a double to center field, knocking in one run to tie the game before a two-out single two batters later gave Dartmouth the victory.

Penn freshman SS Christina Khosravi (San Diego, Calif.) had a solid week for the Quakers hitting .400 with eight hits and two runs scored. Against Monmouth on March 19, Khosravi went 2-for-3 and went 2-for-2 with a run scored against Monmouth on March 20. Khosravi leads the team in batting average (.415) and is second on the team in hits (17), runs (8) and doubles (3).

Yale junior pitcher Ashley Linnenbank (Sugar Land, Texas) went 2-1 with a 1.65 ERA in four appearances last week. In 17 innings, she struck out 18 and allowed only four earned runs. In Yale's 5-4 victory over Manhattan, she pitched a complete game, allowing five hits and one earned run with six strikeouts. She also had six strikeouts in 6.1 innings against Tennessee-Martin.

Dartmouth freshman pitcher Angela Megaw (Bomoseen, Vt.) has seen appearances in all three Dartmouth games so far this season. In the first two games of the Spartan Classic in San Jose, Calif., she came on in relief. She earned her first collegiate victory against St. Mary's and has a 3.27 ERA in 11 innings of work. She has given up only four earned runs and walked four while striking out 11. Against the Gaels she went all seven innings, striking out seven and walking one to get the win.

In five games last week, Yale sophomore utility Kate Meserve (Ticonderoga, N.Y.) batted .417, was 5-for-12 with a run scored and had three RBI for the Elis last week. Against George Washington, her RBI single capped a three-run rally in the top of the eighth inning as Yale edged the Colonials 7-6 at the Rebel Games. Meserve had at least one hit in four of her five games last week.

In five innings during the second UC Davis contest, Princeton freshman Kristen Schaus (Naples, Fla.) allowed only three hits and collected five strikeouts. Schaus (5-3) recorded 11 strikeouts and five hits in the second 1-0 win over Pacific. She threw 80 pitches against the Tigers and 69 of them were strikes. Schaus then tallied seven strikeouts in six innings in the Colorado State game, while earning 10 strikeouts and four hits against the Utes of Utah. With a .81 era Schaus leads the pitching core, while holding batters to a .180 average.

Yale freshman Aracelis Torres (New York, N.Y.) started all five games at shortstop and batted .357 for the Bulldogs last week and was 5-for-14 with three RBI. In Yale's 5-4 victory over Manhattan, she was 2-for-4 with two RBI. Torres had at least one hit in four of Yale's five games. For the season, she has started all 14 games and is batting .244 with one home run and five RBI.
