Ivy League Baseball Weekend Preview

Penn (20-17, 12-8 Ivy) clinched at least a share of the Gehrig Division title with their split in Ithaca this past Tuesday. The Quakers hope for a chance at their first Ivy title since 1995 but can do nothing but wait and see how division rivals Princeton fare this weekend.

The Tigers (12-22, 8-8) enter the final weekend of Ivy League play in need of two double header sweeps against Cornell (14-20, 7-9). The home-and-home series' begin today at noon in Princeton, with the finale slated for Sunday afternoon in Ithaca.

In the Rolfe Division, all four teams have League games remaining, with Brown (17-17, 11-5) and Harvard (15-16, 10-6) battling for a spot in the Ivy League Championship Series. The Bears enter the weekend atop the Division, one game ahead of the Crimson, with four games remaining.

Brown, who has their sights set on their first-ever Ivy League championship, wrap-up their League campaign this weekend with four games versus third-place Yale (15-24, 7-9). The first doubleheader is set to take place Saturday at 1 p.m. in New Haven, with the finale set for Sunday in Providence.

Harvard, looking for a chance at their first League title since 2005, close out their 2007 Ivy slate versus last-place Dartmouth (6-25, 3-13). Their home-and-home begins with a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. in Hanover, with the series wrapping up in Cambridge Sunday.
