Just as it swept the Ivy League Championship series Brown swept the Ivy Player and Pitcher of the Year Awards, and added five first-team and two second team All-Ivy selections.
Brown senior catcher Devin Thomas was a unanimous Player of the Year selection, while Brown junior pitcher Jeff Dietz took Pitcher of the Year honors. In addition Dietz was named second team All-Ivy at first base.
Penn freshman pitcher Todd Roth claimed Rookie of the Year honors for a sterling 6-2 league record with a league-leading 1.98 ERA and seven complete games.
Thomas, Dietz, and Roth were all first team All-Ivy selections, with Roth a first time pick. This is Dietz's second first team selection, compiling a sparkling 7-3 record with a 3.12 ERA in twelve appearances while hitting .353 for the Bears. For Thomas this is his second first team honor, a unanimous one as well, with a league-leading 15 home runs and 61 RBIs while batting .382.
