PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Harvard senior forward EMMA MARKLEY (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) led the Crimson with 23 points and five rebounds in an 82-81 victory against Boston College. Markleys free throw with 15 seconds left in the game held up as the game winning shot. She went 10-of -18 from the field and connected on 3-of-4 shots from the free throw line. She added two blocks and an assist in the winning effort.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Princeton freshman guard NIVEEN RASHEED (Danville, Calif.) led the Tigers with a a game-high 18 points and a team-high nine boards in their season opening 68-43 victory over Stony Brook. In addition, Rasheed dished out three assists, grabbed two steals and recorded a block. She shot 7-for-13 from the floor, was 3-for-5 from the free-throw line and went 1-for-2 from three-point range.
