At the 2004 Athens Summer Games, Kristin Luckenbill will become the first Ivy League women's soccer player to represent the United States at the Olympic Games. Luckenbill, commonly referred to as "Lucks," was a three-time All-American and four-time All-Ivy selection during her years at Dartmouth, including a League Rookie of the Year honor in 1997. In addition, the Paoli, Pa. native started 70 consecutive games for the Big Green.

After Dartmouth, Luckenbill was drafted by the WUSA's Carolina Courage and was named Goalkeeper of the Year in 2002. She has made three appearances with the U.S. national team this year, seeing playing time against Brazil, Mexico and Japan.

Megan Peck from The Dartmouth Online recently wrote a story on Luckenbill as she prepared for her Olympic experience. Click here for the story.
