The Game
Princeton and Lehigh are meeting for the 50th time with the Tigers holding a 36-11-2 series advantage ... But Lehigh has won the last seven matchups, including a 28-13 decision in Princeton in 2003 ... The Tigers’ last win in the series came in 1993, a 31-23 victory at old Palmer Stadium in Princeton ... Old Nassau was 30-0-2 against the Mountain Hawks prior to 1930 ... The two schools didn’t play in the 50-year span from 1935 to 1985.

Princeton University
Head Coach • Roger Hughes [Doane '82]
Record at Princeton • 26-33 [seventh season]

Coach Roger Hughes is very confident in the Tigers’ quarterback situation ... That’s because senior Jeff Terrell [Chagrin Falls, Ohio] led Princeton to seven wins as a starter last season ... He had more than 2,000 yards of total offense and was responsible for 15 touchdowns ... Terrell can both pass and run as he gained more than 300 rushing yards ... Hughes also thinks his Orange & Black is prepared for the unexpected ... “Both Bill Foran [Dallas, Texas] and Greg Mroz [Greenburg, Pa.] also got a lot better in the offseason, so we have good depth there,” he said ... But the major concern for the Tigers is the offensive line ... Princeton does not return a single lineman with varsity starting experience or any who have even taken a significant number of snaps ... That could mean that the offense will rely on junior running back Rob Toresco [Flemington, N.J.], who was the late-game go-to guy last season and certainly could be again this year ... Toresco iced two of the biggest wins, at Lafayette and Harvard, with big first downs in the final minutes ... He is a tough inside runner who is also Princeton’s best receiving option out of the backfield ... Until the line gets experience of working together, there might also be pressure on senior Colin McDonough [Milford, Iowa] to get the Tigers out of field-position jams ... A three-time All-Ivy selection at punter, including twice on the first-team, he was named to an All-America team by one service ... McDonough might be as good at his position as any other player in the League, and his 40-yard punt average is proof.

Lehigh University
Head Coach • Andy Coen [Gettysburg '86]
Record at Lehigh • 1-1 [first season]

The Mountain Hawks handed Coach Andy Coen his first win as a head coach with a 31-28 victory at Villanova on Saturday ... Coen had spent the previous six seasons as Penn’s offensive coordinator ... Lehigh once trailed the Wildcats by 14, but sophomore Matt McGowan scored the game-winning TD -- a 15-yard run -- with three minutes left in the game ... McGowan leads the Mountain Hawks in rushing this season with 121 yards and that touchdown ... Junior quarterback Sedale Threatt threw for 223 yards and two scores while rushing for a team-best 77 yards on 13 carries ... He has thrown 55 passes this season without an interception ... If that name sounds familiar, Threatt’s father -- Sedale Threatt Sr. -- averaged 10 points a game in 14 seasons in the NBA, playing for the 76ers, Bulls, Seahawks, Lakers and Rockets ... Lehigh had dropped its season opener -- 17-16 to Albany -- when Jason Leo missed a game-winning field goal try in rainy conditions.
