Ivies Remaining Strong at Henley Regatta
Five of seven Ivy League teams will compete for titles at the Henley Royal Regatta. Included on the slate is an All-Ivy final in the Temple Challenge Cup. Action continues at the historic destination at Henley-on-Thames through July 5th.

Ivies Fare Well at USA Championships
Six former Ivy athletes finished in the top six at last weekend's USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., including Princeton grad Tora Harris (pic.), who won the national title in the high jump.

Seven Ivy Teams Gearing Up for Henley Regatta
Seven crews with ties to the Ivy League will soon be in action at the Henley Royal Regatta on the River Thames. The regatta starts on July 1st, 2009 and lasts for five days. Races are head-to-head knockout competitions, raced over a 1-mile course by the town of Henley-on-Thames, England.

Seven Ivies Become Track & Field All-Americans
Seven Ivy League track and field student-athletes earned All-America status at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at McDonnell Field on the University of Arkansas campus.

CoSIDA Names Six Ivies Academic All-Americans

Spring Academic All-Ivy -- 2008-09
The Ivy League released its list of student-athletes selected for Academic All-Ivy honors in spring sports for the 2008-09 season. The 80 men and women were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with 3.0 or better cumulative grade point averages.

Ivies Fare Well in Women's Lacrosse Awards
The IWLCA and US Lacrosse have honored 48 student-athletes in Division I with a selection on one of the All-American teams. Six student-athletes, including two first-team selections, lead the charge for the Ivy League. The League also had 20 players selected to IWLCA Regional teams for the 2008-09 season.

The NCAA recently announced 52 at-large selections to the 2009 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. Four Ivy Leaguers earned selections via this process and will join the 16 automatic qualifiers in St. Louis, Mo. for the Championships. Action for all 330 wrestlers in the field begins March 19th.

Former Brown standout and current New York Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie was named the NFC squad for the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl, which takes place February 8 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Four Ivies to Participate in MLS Combine
The initial player list for the 2009 Adidas MLS Player Combine has been released and includes 65 of the top players in NCAA Division I college soccer, including four players from the Ivy League. The combine will be held between January 9th and 13th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Brown's Morey Named to 2009 NFL Pro Bowl
Former Brown standout and current Arizona Cardinal wide receiver Sean Morey was named the NFC special teams starter for the 2009 NFL Pro Bowl. The game will take place at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on Feb. 8, 2009 at 4:30 pm EST.

10 Ivies on NSCAA All-Northeast Teams
The NSCAA has released its selections for the 2008-09 All-Northeast Region teams. The Ivy League earned 10 selections to the squad, with four on the first team where Harvard's duo of Andre Akpan and Michael Fucito joined Dartmouth's Craig Henderson and Penn's Omid Shokoufandeh.

What Happens in Vegas... Makes National News
Ivy wrestlers fared very well at the 27th Annual Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational over the weekend. The League had three champions — Penn's Rollie Peterkin (125), Harvard's Corey Jantzen (141) and Cornell's Mack Lewnes (165). No. 4 ranked Cornell finished in second in the 44-team field.

Ivy Weekly Field Hockey Awards 10 - 11/11
Freshman forward Leslie Springmeyer led Brown to a 4-1 win over Yale, as she had a hand in all four of Brown’s goals. Springmeyer scored her first career hat-trick and assisted the other goal for a career-high seven points, one shy of tying the Brown record for points in a game.

Moses Named Academic All-American
Brown junior Michelle Moses has been selected to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America softball team by the members of CoSIDA. Moses was named to the University Division Third Team.

Brown Baseball Duo Named Academic All-Americans
Senior Brown baseball players Conor Reardon and J.J. Eno have been selected to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America teams by members of the College Sports Information Directors Association. Reardon was named to the University Division second-team while Eno made the third-team.

Brown Earns Share of Ivy Crown
Brown downed Princeton in men's lacrosse on Saturday to claim a share of the Ivy League Championship, its first Ivy title since 1995. The Bears won 10 of their last 11 regular season games to finish tied with Cornell at 5-1 in Ivy play.

Ivy Champions Ousted in Second Round
The Brown men's soccer team — after receiving a bye into the second round — suffered a similar fate to the other Ivy League squads in the 2007 NCAA Tournament. A golden goal by an upstart Old Dominion squad ended the Bears' season, 2-1.

Brown Readies For NCAAs
Dartmouth and Harvard failed to advance in the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship on Saturday, leaving the Brown Bears to carry on for the Ivy League. Brown — the champion of the Ivy League which received a first-round bye — will host Old Dominion on Wednesday at Stevenson Field.

Brown Wins Ivy Title
Junior Dylan Sheehan headed in a flip throw from junior Darren Howerton in the 83rd minute to break a 0-0 tie and lift the No. 3 Brown men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over No. 22 Dartmouth, giving the Bears the 2007 outright Ivy League title.

Sacramone Leads U.S. Team to Gold in Germany
Brown sophomore gymnast Alicia Sacramone helped the U.S. Women's team win a gold medal at the 2007 World Championships in Stuttgart, Germnay, securing a spot in the 2008 Olympic Games.

Brown's Sacramone Medals at Worlds
Brown gymnast Alicia Sacramone recently competed at the 2006 World Championships in Denmark. The freshman captained the USA team and won an individual silver medal on the vault.

Taylor to be Feted by ECAC
Joan Taylor, Senior Associate Athletic Director of Brown University, has been selected as the 2006 recipient of the Katherine Ley Award. The award will be presented at the ECAC Convention Honors Dinner on Oct. 1 in Hyannis, Mass.

Billy Ball
Bill O'Brien has been praised as a good teammate and great leader going back to his days as a Brown football player in the early 1990's. Today, the former Bear has translated those skills into the coaching profession, as he looks to guide one of the most potent offenses in the NFL.

Road to Success
Former Brown basketball player Lindsay Gottlieb has risen quickly through the coaching ranks, leading UC-Santa Barbara to a NCAA Tournament berth in her first season, as she picked up the Big West Coach of the Year award in the process. Click inside to read more about Gottlieb's road to success.

The Estes Way
With three championships since 1999, and two in the last four years, Phil Estes has delivered the kind of numbers that make him arguably the best football coach in the history of Brown University. His way has brought about a resurgence of Bears football.

Brown freshman gymnast Alicia Sacramone is the only U.S. Olympic team member going to college while preparing for Beijing 2008 -- but the world championships silver medalist is confident she can balance the books and the beam.
