PRINCETON, N.J. -- Dartmouth was the lone squad to go a perfect 4-0 in Ivy play last week as the Ancient Eight wrapped up cross divisional play.

The Big Green took two games each from Cornell and previously unbeaten (in Ivy play) Princeton, moving to 6-2 atop the Rolfe Division. The Tigers and Quakers of Penn both entered the week with 4-0 Ivy records and each went 2-2 to remain tied at 6-2 atop the Gehrig Division.

Three League games played last week went extra innings, including two for Dartmouth. The Big Green beat Cornell 3-2 in 10 to begin the weekend's play, then pulled out a 4-3 10-inning victory over the Tigers. The third game to go into extra innings was an 11-inning affair between Columbia and Brown. The Lions' Josh Fiet knocked in the winning run in the 6-5 final.

Divisional play begins this week as the eight squads face off against one opponent each in a apir of doubleheaders. Princeton travels to Penn, with results potentially breaking the tie for first in the Gehrig Division. In the Rolfe Division, Dartmouth will attempt to increase its lead over Yale and Brown (both tied for second at 4-4). The Big Green travel to Yale for a four-game set.

Greg Zebrack (Northridge, Calif.) batted leadoff for the Quakers, going 8-for-16 five games with a .938 slugging percentage and .636 on-base percentage as Penn went 3-2 last week. The sophomore outfielder led the team with 15 total bases with two doubles, triple and homer, and also scored five times. He had the game-winning RBI on a triple in the 10th inning to propel Penn to a 2-0 win over Yale and then scored the insurance run one batter later. Zebrack finished a triple short of the cycle Sunday against Yale, going 4-for-4 with three runs and three RBI. In the afternoon game, he went 1-for-1 with three walks to finish 5-for-5 on the day.

Ryan Smith (Greenlawn, N.Y.) was instrumental in helping Dartmouth sweep a pair of Ivy League doubleheaders over the weekend, earning the win in relief in two of them while saving the final game. The senior right-hander entered the first game against Cornell on Sunday to start the 10th inning with the score tied at one, and Dartmouth rallied in the bottom half to give him the victory in the 3-2 thriller. The next day, he truly earned the win as he was summoned from the bullpen with runners on the corners with nobody out in the 10th of a tie game. Smith induced a pair of soft grounders and got the third out on strikes to preserve the tie before the Big Green scored in the bottom half for the 4-3 win. In the nightcap, he got the final two outs to nail down his 26th career save, adding to his Ivy League record. In addition, he tossed two innings during the mid-week game at Quinnipiac, allowing only an unearned run while whiffing two.

He also pitched 8.2 stellar innings in a 4-3 loss to the Big Green. The rookie right-hander fanned six, scattered six hits and allowed just one walk and zero earned runs in the no-decision.
