PRINCETON, N.J. -- Three weeks into the 2012 baseball season, Cornell has jumped out to a 9-2 mark, the best record in the Ivy League. Princeton holds the second-best record in the League at 4-6. After splitting a four-game set at Florida Atlantic and dropping three games to No. 8 South Carolina, Princeton bounced back by taking two of three from Richmond, including wins in the last two games of the series.
Tigers senior Sam Mulroy (Bethesda, Md.) and freshman Tyler Servais (Larkspur, Colo.) were instrumental in their team's series win over Richmond and have been named Ivy League Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively. Columbia pitcher Stefan Olson (Ladera Ranch, Calif.) shut down a potent San Diego team in a complete game victory and was named Pitcher of the Week.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
In three games against the Spiders, Mulroy batted .429 (6-of-14) with two home runs, one double and nine RBI. He scored seven runs and slugged .929. He walked twice and recorded an on-base percentage of .556. Mulroy extended his hitting streak to four games and scored at least two runs in all three contests last week.
In Princeton's two wins against Richmond, Mulroy hit 5-of-11 (.455) with five runs, two home runs, one double and nine RBI. He knocked in a career-best six runs in the Tigers' 21-14 victory over the Spiders. Mulroy earned his first career Ivy League award.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Facing a powerful San Diego squad that entered the game batting .332 as a team, Olson pitched seven innings of three-hit ball to help his team to a 6-2 victory. The junior struck out three while recording his third complete game victory in the last two seasons and the first for Columbia this year.
Olson limited a Toreros squad that defeated No. 19 Oregon State, 13-2, to just .125 at the plate (3-of-24). He received his first Ivy League weekly honor and became the first Lion to be named Pitcher of the Week since Dan Bracey earned the award twice in 2010 (March 30, April 6).
