Harvard junior cornerback Andrew Berry and Yale senior offensive lineman Jeff Monaco, both of whom earned first team All-Ivy League accolades last season, have been chosen as preseason All-American selections by College Sporting News.

Berry is the only Ivy League player named to the CSN preseason All-America first team and is one of two cornerbacks chosen to the first team, joining Tennessee State's Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. Monaco was named a third team selection.

For Berry, the honor comes after an outstanding sophomore season that saw him appear in eight games while making seven starts in 2006. He finished the year with 35 tackles, four pass breakups, and had one interception -- a 41-yard return against Princeton midway through the season.

Monaco started every game last season for the Ivy co-champion Bulldogs, including four at tackle. He was a first team All-Ivy selection as a junior and has made 20 consecutive starts for Yale.
