Football Ivies Collect Postseason Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Ivy League football capped off the 2012 season with another impressive haul of postseason honors.

Harvard senior tight end Kyle Juszczyk led the way for the Ivies with seven All-America and All-Star honors, accepting an invitation to play in the 2013 Senior Bowl on Jan. 26 in Mobile, Ala. Princeton senior defensive lineman Mike Catapano, the 2012 Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year, received recognition on five All-America/All-Star team plus an East-West Shrine Game invite and the Elite Defensive End Award from the College Football Performance Awards.

Cornell senior left tackle JC Tretter earned four All-America honors and a Senior Bowl invite to as well. JusTretter will be first Ivy Leaguer to play in this all-star game since Penn's Mitch Marrow did so in 1998.

The other in Princeton's 1-2 punch on the defensive line, senior Caraun Reid, also got four All-America bids and a the Defensive Tackle Award from the College Football Performance Awards.
