Football Weekend Wrap-Up - October 27

Columbia 26, Yale 22 [YES]
NEW YORK -- The last time Columbia defeated Yale in football, the current seniors on the Columbia football team were 10 years old.  But Patricia and Shepard Alexander Head Coach of Football Pete Mangurian has said since his initial press conference last December, this Columbia football team would leave the past behind. While rebuilding is a process, the team showed fight, toughness and grit, shedding the past and defeating Yale for the first time since 2001, 26-22, on Saturday at Robert K. Kraft Field.

Cornell 37, Princeton 35 [TIME WARNER]
ITHACA, N.Y. -- John Wells was able to walk off the field a hero. Wells, who earlier in the day had missed both a field goal and an extra-point kick that looked like it might be the difference in the game late into the fourth quarter, drilled a 23-yard attempt with 50 seconds left in the game to give Cornell a 37-35 shootout victory over Princeton on Saturday afternoon at Schoellkopf Field.

Penn 20, Brown 17
PHILADELPHIA -- Sophomore kicker Connor Loftus connected on two field goals in the final 1:25 of play - the first from a career-long 45 yards to tie the game, the second from 30 yards out with 17 seconds to play - as the University of Pennsylvania football team downed Brown, 20-17, in front of an ecstatic Homecoming crowd of 13,569 at Franklin Field Saturday afternoon.

Harvard 31, Dartmouth 14 [CSNNE]
HANOVER, N.H. -- Treavor Scales rushed for three touchdowns as 24th-ranked Harvard held off Dartmouth by a score of 31-14 Saturday night at Memorial Field.
