PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Senior tailback John Spooney (Northfield, OH) rushed for 102 yards, ran for two scores and caught a pass for a touchdown, all in the first half, as Brown (1-0) built a 31-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 45-7 win over Georgetown (1-3) in its season opening game at Brown Stadium.
Fordham 52, Columbia 7
BRONX, N.Y. -- With Columbia trailing just 10-0 at the half, No. 21 Fordham scored 28 third quarter points to come away with a 52-7 victory over the Columbia football team on Saturday.
Yale 39, Colgate 22
HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Yale opened the 2013 season with a decisive 39-22 win over Colgate Saturday afternoon at Andy Kerr Stadium, outrushing the Raiders 327-200.
Cornell 45, Bucknell 13 [IVY]
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Down 10-0 late in the first quarter, with rain pouring down and a crowd of more than 15,000 starting to head for cover, the Cornell football team took a cue from first-year head coach David Archer '05. He told them it was Cornell weather, that it was just a matter of time. He was right. He was very right. Cornell outscored the Bison 45-3 the rest of the way and the Big Red made everyone forget about the weather in a 45-13 victory on Saturday afternoon at Schoellkopf Field.
Harvard 42, San Diego 20
SAN DIEGO -- In Harvard’s first trip to the west coast since 1949, the Crimson toppled San Diego by a score of 42-20 before 4,256 fans at Torero Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Dartmouth 30, Butler 23
INDIANAPOLIS -- In its season opener, the Dartmouth Big Green football team scored touchdowns on each of its first three possessions and then held off host Butler (2-2) by a final of 30-23.

PHILADELPHIA -- Penn opened its 2013 season with a win, hanging on to defeat Lafayette, 27-21, at Franklin Field.
Lehigh 29, Princeton 28 [NBCSN]
PRINCETON, N.J. -- The 22nd-ranked Lehigh Mountain Hawks scored 26 points in the final 21 minutes of the game and held off a final Princeton drive in a wild 29-28 comeback win Saturday night on Powers Field at Princeton Stadium.
