Field Hockey Teams Land 75 on 2010 NFHCA National Academic Squad

Complete Division I Academic Squad

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League field hockey teams combined to place 75 student-athletes on the 2010 National Field Hockey Coaches Association's (NFHCA) National Academic Squad. The Yale Bulldogs led the way with 14 honorees, followed by Brown and Columbia, who each saw 13 players earn the distinction. Dartmouth had 10 players named to the squad, followed by Cornell (8), Harvard (6), Penn (6) and Princeton (5).

Of special note, Katie Hyland and Cassie Puhalla of Brown, Caitlin Mullins and Hannah Smith of Columbia, Kelly McHenry and Virginia Peisch of Dartmouth, Pilar Curtis of Harvard, Alexandra Douwes and Jennifer King of Princeton and Katherine Bolling of Yale all made the team for the fourth consecutive year.

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2010-11 academic year.
