Two Ivies Earn AVCA All-Region Distinction
Penn junior setter Megan Tryon and Yale senior middle blocker Cat Dailey have been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as Honorable Mention honorees on the All-Northeast Region Team.

Penn Volleyball Falls to Penn State
The Quakers played one of their best matches of the season, challenging the top-ranked Nittany Lions in each of the first two sets before going down in three on Saturday night, ending their season at 23-6.

Penn Advances to NCAA Second Round
The Penn Quakers volleyball team won their first NCAA tournament match in program history, defeating Army, 3-1, to advance to the second round where they will face top-seeded and undefeated Penn State tomorrow afternoon at 5 pm.

Penn Volleyball Open NCAAs vs. Army
The Penn volleyball team will take on Army in the first round of the NCAA tournament this Friday. They make their first appearance in the Big Dance since 2003 with a matchup against the Black Knights at 5 p.m. in University Park, Pa.

Two Ivies Named to Academic All-District Volleyball Team
Two Ivy League volleyball players have been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District teams as voted on by members of CoSIDA. Harvard senior Lily Durwood earned second team honors, while Yale senior Cat Dailey was named to the first team.

Yale senior Laurel Johnson led the Bulldogs to a three-match sweep at the Seton Hall Invitational, as the all-tournament honoree averaged 3.22 kills and 1.22 blocks per set while hitting over .400 for the weekend for one-loss Yale.

Jolie Ward, who doubled Manhattan’s league win total last year and has earned more than 200 career victories, has been named the third coach of Princeton women’s volleyball, it was announced by Director of Athletics Gary Walters.

Sarah Bernson has been named the head coach of volleyball at Cornell after serving as an assistant coach the past five seasons. Athletic Director Andy Noel, announced Bernson’s promotion as a replacement for Deitre Collins-Parker.

Princeton continued their winning ways, accounting for nearly half of this years All-Ivy first team, including unanimous Player of the Year Parker Henritze. Penn freshman Julia Swanson was voted 2007 Ivy League Rookie of the Year.

Princeton Claims Volleyball Title
The Princeton volleyball team defeated Brown 3-0 in Providence to stay unbeaten in Ivy play at 12-0, clinching the League title in the process. Head coach Glenn Nelson tied the school record for all-time wins.
