Swanepoel Named Lions First-Ever Varsity Squash Coach
Jacques Swanepoel has been named the first-ever Head Coach of Squash at Columbia University, Dr. M. Dianne Murphy, Director, Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education, announced Monday. The men and women’s squash programs will begin varsity competition in Fall 2011.

All-Ivy Squash -- 2008-09
Penn national finalist Kristen Lange was named as the Ivy League's women's squash Most Outstanding Player while highly decorated Princeton senior Mauricio Sanchez earned the honor for the men for the third straight year.

No. 1 Princeton Holds Serve; Upends No. 2 Penn, 6-3
In a rematch of the National Championship from 2008, the No. 1 Princeton women turned away the No. 2 Penn Quakers, 6-3, in Ivy League squash. The win puts the two-time defending National champions in good position to bring the League title back to Princeton, N.J.

Howe Cup Rematch in Princeton Tonight
In one of the marquee match-ups in all of collegiate squash, the No. 1 Princeton Tigers women will entertain the No. 2 Penn Quakers tonight. The match features the two teams that contested the 2008 National Championship. For an encore, the No. 2 Princeton men will play the No. 7 Quakers.

All-Ivy Squash -- 2007-08
Yale national champion Miranda Ranieri was named as the Ivy League's women's squash Player of the Year while Princeton junior Mauricio Sanchez earned that honor on the men's side for the second straight year.

Princeton Claims National Title
The Princeton women's squash team rallied from an early hole to knock off previously-unbeaten Penn, 6-3, in the Howe Cup national championship final. It is the second straight title for the Orange and Black.

Undefeated Penn Claims League Crown
The No. 1 Penn Quakers breezed past Dartmouth to claim the 2008 Ivy League Championship in women's squash. The Red and Blue earned its first Ancient Eight crown since 1999-00.

Princeton Sweeps Ivy Title
Coach Bob Callahan's Princeton Tigers claimed the 2008 Ivy Championship in men's squash with Sunday's 9-0 victory at Harvard. The Orange and Black swept all 54 individual matches in Ivy play this season, losing just six of 168 games.

Super Wednesday
The nation's top two teams in both men's and women's squash square off tonight as the Princeton women face Penn and the Tiger men host No. 1 Trinity, a team with a 175-match win streak.

Columbia to Add Varsity Men's and Women's Squash
Columbia will elevate its club squash programs to begin full varsity competition in fall 2011, Athletic Director Dr. M. Dianne Murphy announced. They will be the 30th & 31st intercollegiate sports programs at Columbia.

Illingworth Squashes Competition in Rio
Yale graduate Julian Illingworth ('06) achieved unprecedented heights in United States Men's Squash at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is the first American male to ever win the silver medal in the tournament.

नमस्ते! Harvard: Service to India
The Harvard women's squash team is traveling to India for an 11-day training and service trip. Members of the team will be checking in to say नमस्ते! (hello) by posting regular blog entries on GoCrimson.com during their trip over the next few weeks.

Carly Grabowski elected to stay near home when she enrolled at Princeton and she has emerged as a key contributor for the Tigers, having never lost a dual-match in her career. Bill Alden of Town Topics tracked her down recently.

All-American Julian Illingworth hopes to lead Yale's men's squash team to an outright Ivy title with a win over Harvard on Wednesday and then after that will be one final run at an individual national title.
