TIME in the Ring

This past summer we featured Princeton basketball player-turned-TIME Magazine journalist Sean Gregory '98 on our "Ivies In China" Olympic Blog. Gregory, who teamed with the likes of current Tiger head coach Sydney Johnson and assistant Brian Earl on three Ivy championship teams, wrote the TIME cover story on America's gold-winning men's basketball "Redeem Team," where he also got the chance to play a game of P-I-G with NBA superstar LeBron James.

The former Princeton hoopster was also kind enough to guest blog some of his experiences while covering the Games in Beijing.

Most recently, Gregory traveled to the high altitudes of Big Bear Lake, Calif., where he visited boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya during his rigorous training sessions in preparation for Saturday night's highly-anticipated championship bout with Manny Pacquiao.
