PRINCETON, N.J. -- The 14-Game Tournament heats up for Ivy League men’s basketball this week with a second back-to-back slate of weekend games to close out the first month of 2012.

It will be a battle of Ivy unbeatens  squaring off in front of a sold-out crowd at the John J. Lee Amphitheater when Yale hosts Harvard Friday night. Both teams enter the game on four-game winning streaks with the Bulldogs boasting a perfect 6-0 record at home so far this season.

Brown has the busy week for the Ivies, traveling to Bryant Monday night to close out its non-conference schedule before hosting Dartmouth Friday night and Harvard Saturday night. Columbia and Cornell clash in the second of their travel partner games Saturday night as well, this time in the Big Red’s friendly confines of Newman Arena.

"Inside Ivy League Basketball" returns for its sixth episode on Wednesday, Jan. 25, featuring interviews with Penn men’s basketball head coach Jerome Allen and Cornell women's basketball head coach Dayna Smith.

"Inside Ivy League Basketball" is hosted by Dan Loney and Brian Seltzer and takes an in-depth look at all the news and notes surrounding Ivy men’s and women’s basketball on and off the courts during the 2011-12 season. The 12-episode show debuted Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. on BlogTalkRadio.com (blogtalkradio.com/insideivyleaguebasketball) and is available on-demand via BlogTalkRadio and IvyLeagueSports.com.

Each episode is packed with highlights, statistics and expert analysis in its 'Around the League' segment. With its interview segments 'Program Profile,' 'Student-Athlete Spotlight' and 'Alumni Focus,' the show will visit with past and present players, coaches and administrators who impact Ivy League basketball.

Fans and alumni can interact with the show via its social media platforms -- Facebook (Inside Ivy League Basketball) and Twitter (@insideivyhoops) -- as well as provide ideas and content for the show’s ‘Twitter Talk/Facebook Fodder’ segment.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Columbia junior center Mark Cisco (Chester, N.J.) had a monster game in the Lions’ 61-56 victory over Cornell with 18 points and 20 rebounds, setting a Levien Gym record for rebounds in a single game. The 18 points also matched Cisco’s career high. It was Cisco’s second-straight double-double and his third of the season. He was dominant in the game, playing a season-high 36 minutes, shooting five of nine from the field and eight of nine from the foul line. Two of those free throws came with Columbia ahead by two points and with 21 seconds on the clock. Stepping to the line in a one-and-one situation in a two-point game (56-54) with 21 seconds remaining in the game, Cisco calmly sank both free throws to give the Lions a four-point advantage and two-possession lead.
