PRINCETON, N.J. -- It’s another big weekend
for Ivy League men’s basketball as teams continue to jockey
for prime position in the standings.
Off to its best Ivy League (6-0) and overall (20-2) start in school history, Harvard hits the road for a crucial back-to-back at Penn Friday night and at Princeton Saturday night in a game that will be televised live on ESPNU. Last season, Harvard and Penn played a double-overtime thriller at The Palestra while Harvard and Princeton split their season series en route to share of the League championship.
Yale sits one game behind the Crimson in the loss column and has two key road games on its own, heading to the Empire State to take on Cornell and Columbia. The Bulldogs have rebounded from its Jan. 27 loss to the Crimson to put together a three-game winning streak going into the weekend.
"Inside Ivy League Basketball" is back for its eighth
episode on Wednesday, Feb. 8, featuring interviews with Yale men's
basketball head coach James Jones and Princeton
junior forward Niveen Rasheed.
"Inside Ivy League Basketball" is hosted by Dan
Loney and Brian Seltzer and takes an
in-depth look at all the news and notes surrounding Ivy men’s
and women’s basketball on and off the courts during the
2011-12 season. The 12-episode show debuted Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7
p.m. on BlogTalkRadio.com (blogtalkradio.com/insideivyleaguebasketball) and is
available on-demand via BlogTalkRadio and
IvyLeagueSports.com.
Each episode is packed with highlights, statistics and expert
analysis in its 'Around the League' segment. With its interview
segments 'Program Profile,' 'Student-Athlete Spotlight' and 'Alumni
Focus,' the show will visit with past and present players, coaches
and administrators who impact Ivy League basketball.
Fans and alumni can interact with the show via its social media
platforms -- Facebook (Inside Ivy League Basketball) and Twitter (@insideivyhoops) -- as well as provide ideas and
content for the show’s 'Twitter Talk/Facebook Fodder'
segment.
