Brown's Sullivan Earns Capital One Academic All-America Men's Basketball First-Team Honors

TOWSON, Md. -- Brown senior guard
Matthew Sullivan has been named to the 2012-13
Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Men's Basketball
First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors
of America (CoSIDA).
Sullivan (Wilmette, Ill.) joins Aaron Craft from
Ohio State, Kelly Olynyk from Gonzaga,
Mason Plumlee from Duke, and Cody
Zeller from Indiana on the first team.
An economics major with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Sullivan is averaging
14.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for the Bears. Sullivan is
the Ivy League's third leading scorer, and he recently tossed in a
career high 27 points, including the game-winning trey, against
Columbia.
A two-year team captain, Sullivan has connected on 157 career
three-pointers, seventh best in Brown basketball history. Sullivan,
who has started in 86 of 111 career games played, is chasing 1,000
career points. He needs 46 points with six games to play.
