PRINCETON, N.J. -- The 14-Game Tournament kicks into high gear this weekend for Ivy League men's basketball with the first Friday-Saturday back-to-back of the season. Brown, Dartmouth, Harvard and Yale get the pleasure of being at home for the first installment of the six-week gauntlet.

Columbia comes into this stretch as the League's hottest team on a six-game winning streak and 2-0 in conference play after a sweep of Cornell. The Lions are averaging 79.0 points per game, fueled by 9.2 three-pointers per outing, over their winning streak.

Preseason favorite Harvard begins with its first two Friday-Saturday weekends at home on a 17-game winning streak at Lavietes Pavilion, dating back to last season. The Crimson enters the week with the seventh longest home win streak in the Division I behind Duke (28), Stephen F. Austin (26), Florida (26), Gonzaga (21) and Kentucky (21).

Princeton enters this portion of the season with its best record since the 1997-98 Tigers also started 12-3. Brown moves into conference-only part of its schedule with eight non-League wins, which is just one shy of the school mark set by the 2001-02 Bears.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brown senior guard Sean McGonagill (Brookfield, Ill.) shot a sizzling 7-of-9 from beyond the three-point arc in a 29-point effort to lead the Bears to a home win over Yale. McGonagill completely took over the game in the second half when Brown needed him most, scoring 11 points in a 13-2 run after Yale had pulled to within five points, 52-47, with 8:03 remaining. He had two three-pointers in the run, including a four-point play. For the game, McGonagill connected 8-of-11 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free throw line and added three rebounds off the defensive glass.
