PRINCETON, N.J. -- Ivy League men's rowing has an active weekend ahead with four heavyweight and Princeton's lightweight crews in action.
Penn is on the water twice this weekend, rowing against Georgetown on the Cooper River Friday and against George Washington and Northeastern for the McCausland and Burk Cups. Both races take place on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J.
Also on Saturday, Yale hosts Brown on the Housatonic River, Columbia takes on Rutgers for the Collins Cup on the Harlem River in New York and the Princeton lightweights play host to Navy and MIT for the Joseph Murtaugh Cup on Lake Carnegie.
It will be second spring regatta for the Lions as their heavyweight and lightweight crews competing in the Governor's Cup last weekend against host Florida Tech and Jacksonville.
The men's spring season culminates Sunday, May 13 with the 67th EARC Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. followed by the 110th IRA National Championships May 31-June 2 on the Cooper River.
