Columbia Men Finish 13th at NCAA Golf Regional

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Columbia University men's
golf team finished up its 2010 season on Saturday afternoon at the
NCAA East Regional. Sophomore Brendan Doyle closed out his second
season as a Lion in fine fashion, posting a team-best round of
68.
First-year Michael Yiu was the low finisher for Columbia as he
finished the three-day tournament at even-par 210 after a
final-round 70. Yiu tied for 21st overall individually.
The Lions finished the tournament in 13th place and had three
straight sub-300 rounds. Texas and Kent State tied for the team
title at five-under par 835 while TJ Howe of Penn State and Rhys
Enoch of East Tennessee State closed as the top individual
finishers through 54 holes at seven-under 203.
The Longhorns and Golden Flash advance to the NCAA Championships
on June 1-6 in Chattanooga, Tenn., as do UCLA, Penn State and
Virginia. Enoch of ETSU will also make an appearance at the event
as the low finisher on a non-qualifying team.
