Cornell-Dartmouth, Harvard-Yale Clash in ECAC Hockey Quarterfinals

, N.J. -- This weekend's ECAC Hockey quarterfinal action features a pair of Ivy League matchups as second-seeded Cornell hosts ninth-seeded Dartmouth and third-seeded Harvard welcomes sixth-seeded Yale in best-of-three series that begin on Friday, March 9. The four Ivy teams will be vying for two of the four ECAC Hockey semifinal spots.

As top-four finishers in the 2011-12 regular season, Cornell and Harvard had byes last weekend.
Dartmouth posted a road sweep at eighth-seeded St. Lawrence, with winning scores of 6-3 and 4-1. Yale needed three games to advance past Ivy foe Princeton. The Bulldogs won game one, 4-2, but then dropped game two, 5-4. In the decisive third game, Yale posted a 7-3 win to advance to the quarterfinals.

The 2012 ECAC Hockey semifinal and championship games will be played on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J. The semifinals are slated for 4:00 and 7:00 p.m., with Saturday's third-place and championship games being played at those same times.
