Nineteen Former Ivy Men's Hockey Players Active On 2011-12 NHL Opening-Day Rosters

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Nineteen players representing all six Ivy League men's ice hockey teams were on active 2011-12 NHL opening-day rosters.

Dartmouth led the way with six former players, followed by Cornell and Princeton, who each had four. Harvard and Yale each saw two former players open the year on NHL teams, while one former Brown Bear also made an opening-day roster. The nineteen players skate for 14 different NHL teams, led by the Colorado Avalanche, which boasts three former Ivy League standouts.
