NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Yale, Harvard and Princeton advanced to the semifinals in the Potter Cup and Dartmouth and Columbia advanced to the semifinals in the Hoehn Cup on the first day of the 2013 CSA Men's Team Championship.
Yale, playing on its home courts, handled League-rival Cornell, 7-2, to advance to face top-seeded Trinity on Saturday. Harvard and Princeton will meet in the other semifinal. Harvard beat Rochester, 6-3, while Princeton downed Franklin & Marshall, 8-1.
Cornell will face St. Lawrence in a consolation bracket match.
In the Hoehn Cup, Dartmouth downed Brown, 8-1, to advance to face Western Ontario in Saturday's semifinals. Brown will face Penn in a consolation bracket match after Penn lost to Western Ontario, 8-1. In the other Hoehn Cup semifinal, Columbia will face Williams after Columbia downed Navy, 6-3, on Friday evening.
