Princeton's Pecotic Falls in First Round of NCAA Singles Championship

ATHENS, Ga. -- Princeton junior Matija Pecotic fell 6-4, 6-4 to Florida's Nassim Slilam in the round of 64 in the 2012 NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Championship Wednesday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.
The two-time Ivy League champion went perfect in the Ivy League for the second-straight year and qualified for the bid as the Ivy's top ITA-ranked singles player. It was Pecotic's first NCAA individual bid.
Princeton's participation in the NCAA individual championships will continue Thursday at 4:30 p.m. when Hilary Bartlett and Lindsay Graff play Stanford's Mallory Burdette and Nicole Gibbs, the No. 2 seed in the women's doubles tournament.
