Cornell to Host ECAC Men's Tennis Indoor Championship

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell is set to host the 2013 ECAC Men's Tennis Indoor Championship this weekend at the Reis Tennis Center.
The three-day tournament opens Friday, Feb. 15 and features seven Ivy League teams, including the host Big Red as the No. 4 seed. Coming off its first ECAC Indoor title a year ago, Harvard comes in as the No. 1 seed with Columbia seeded second, Princeton seeded third, Brown seeded fifth, Dartmouth seeded sixth and Yale seeded eighth. George Washington, as the No. 7 seed, rounds out the eight-team bracket.

OTHER IVY IN ACTION
Not competing in the ECAC Indoor event, Penn is set to be busy
over the next week with home matches against Georgetown (Feb. 13),
Stony Brook (Feb. 15) and Temple (Feb. 20).
SEASON TO DATE
Ivy League men's tennis teams are off to strong starts, led by
Cornell and Yale each with four wins in their first five matches to
start the spring dual season. Princeton fared well in its
season-opening, three-match trip to Michigan, winning two out of
three. Harvard has won two-straight, with wins at Northwestern and
at Vanderbilt, to pull its record to 4-3 going into ECAC Indoors.
Brown (3-3), Dartmouth (3-3) and Penn (1-1) are each at .500 to
start the spring, while Columbia is 1-3 with the Lions earning a
split at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Kick-Off
Weekend matches at Ole Miss on Jan. 25-26.

The Ivy League enters the ECAC Indoors with a strong presence in
the Feb. 5 ITA Team Rankings with six teams listed. Two singles
players and three doubles teams were among the Feb. 12 ITA
Individual Rankings.
