53 Ivy Trackers Named USTFCCCA All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS -- The Ivy League boasted 53
student-athletes named to the 2010 Division I Men’s and
Women’s All-Academic Track & Field teams announced by the
U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association
(USTFCCCA).
Record totals of 357 male student-athletes representing 118
institutions and 557 female student-athletes representing 152
institutions compose the groups. Stanford led all men’s
squads with 12 earning All-Academic status while Nebraska led all
schools on the women’s side for the second-straight year with
18 honorees. Nine men’s All-Academic honorees and 28
women’s honorees were reported to have cumulative GPAs of 4.0
and above.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field teams,
the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point
average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor
automatic or provisional qualifying standard or participated in the
NCAA Division I Outdoor Championships (including preliminary
rounds) in their respective event.
