PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy softball teams combined for nine wins over the opening weekend of play, which saw seven of the League's eight teams throw their respective first pitches at various early season tournaments.

Dartmouth was the first Ivy team to record a win in 2012 with a 6-1 victory against Saint Peter's at the Coastal Carolina Tournament on March 2. Hillary Barker led the Big Green to the win by pitching seven innings of one-run ball as she scattered four hits and added four stikeouts.
