Updated Softball Statistics in HTML Format
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Several Ivy League squads enjoyed strong weeks last week during southern road trips.
Cornell went 5-2 in Clearwater, Fla. Saturday through Monday including wins over Robert Morris and Boston College. Princeton went 3-1 on it second consecutive trip to UMBC. The Tigers are staying in the Capitol region through the week before going to Dover, Del. for a tournament on the weekend. Dartmouth came back from a 12-day layoff and went 3-2 in Clearwater including wins over Robert Morris and Maryland. Columbia also had a good week in the Sunshine State, going 5-1.
Harvard went 2-3 in San Diego, suffering a pair of one-run losses to San Diego and Long Beach State.
Penn came home and swept a doubleheader from Lafayette, including the first no-hitter by an Ivy thus far this season. Alexis Borden blanked the Leopards for five innings, allowing four walks and striking out seven in an 8-0 win.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Columbia junior Emily Snodgrass (Canby,
Ore.) hit .412 for the week with five extra-base hits to spark her
squad to five wins in six outings at the Rebel Spring Games.
Snodgrass went 7-for-17 with three doubles, two home runs, six RBI
and five runs scored. She slugged .941 for the week, reaching base
safely in all six games to run her streak to 10 straight contests.
She smacked a three-run homer in the fifth inning to give the Lions
a 3-1 win over Lehigh. She also homered in the midst of a 3-for-4
game against Rider in which she drove in a pair and scored three
times.

as she picked up right where she left off. Rumley went 3-0 and did
not allow a run in her three starts last weekend. In 19 innings of
work, she allowed 10 hits and struck out 20 while walking three.
She surpassed the 200 strikeout mark for her career, making her
just the fifth in school history to do so. Against Maryland, she

effort. Rumley has not allowed a run in her last 25 innings of work
and her 51 strikeouts thus far this season is second in the
