Courtesy of Princeton Athletic CommunicationsPRINCETON, N.J. -- The Princeton women's basketball team received a No. 11 seed in the 2010 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship and will face No. 6 seed St. John's in Tallahassee, Fla., in the first round. The teams will tip off on Saturday, March 20 at 12:21 p.m., on ESPN2.
This is the highest seed an Ivy League team has ever received in the tournament.
Princeton is 26-2 overall and earned the Ivy League automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament after going undefeated, 14-0, in the league. This is Princeton's first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
The winner will move on to the second round and face the winner of the No. 3 Florida State and No. 14 Louisiana Tech. That game is slated for Monday, March 22 with a game time still to be determined.
