Complete Women's Basketball Weekly Release in pdf format

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Princeton (23-4, 12-1) wrapped up its second consecutive outright Ivy League title last week with home wins over Dartmouth and Harvard. The League title also gave the Tigers the NCAA automatic bid.

Yale (14-14, 10-4) wrapped up its regular season with a split at home, but was able to secure at least a tie for second place in the Ivy standings, and will earn the League’s automatic WNIT bid.

Four Ivy squads still have one game remaining on their regular-season slate. On Tuesday, Princeton travels to Penn and Harvard travels to Dartmouth as the two sets of travel partners wrap up their home-and-home series.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Devona Allgood (Huntersville, N.C.) led Princeton to a 2-0 weekend to earn its second consecutive outright Ivy League championship and the League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Allgood averaged 13.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal against Dartmouth and Harvard, recording back-to-back double-doubles. Against Dartmouth, Allgood scored the game’s first four points and finished with a double-double of 15 points on 6-for-9 shooting and 13 rebounds. She also recorded two assists and two blocks. The following night Allgood scored 12 points and 10 rebounds in the most important game for the Tigers this season as Princeton defeated Harvard to clinch the league title outright and punched its ticket to the tournament. She matched her career-high in blocks with six and had two assists and two steals.
