Two Women's Basketball Ivies Named 2011-12 Capitol One Academic All-District
2011-12 Capital One Academic All-District® Women's
Basketball Teams
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Brown senior guard
Hannah Passafuime and Cornell sophomore guard
Allyson DiMagno were each named to the Capitol One
Academic All-District 1 First Team, the organization announced
Thursday. Passafuime and DiMagno advance to the Capital One
Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and
third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this
month.
The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District ® Women’s
Basketball Teams are selected by the College Sports Information
Directors of America (CoSDA). The student-athletes are chosen based
on their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s
Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.
Passafuime holds a 3.75 grade point average and is set to graduate
in May with a degree in Education and Public Policy. On the court,
the senior is averaging 12.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game.
DiMagno ranks second on the team in scoring (10.6) and assists
(2.4), while pacing the Big Red in rebounding (7.2) and steals
(1.6). She is majoring in Biological Sciences and has a 3.77
GPA.
