2011-12 Capital One Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Brown senior guard Hannah Passafuime and Cornell sophomore guard Allyson DiMagno were each named to the Capitol One Academic All-District 1 First Team, the organization announced Thursday. Passafuime and DiMagno advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District ® Women’s Basketball Teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSDA). The student-athletes are chosen based on their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA’s Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.

Passafuime holds a 3.75 grade point average and is set to graduate in May with a degree in Education and Public Policy. On the court, the senior is averaging 12.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. DiMagno ranks second on the team in scoring (10.6) and assists (2.4), while pacing the Big Red in rebounding (7.2) and steals (1.6). She is majoring in Biological Sciences and has a 3.77 GPA.
