Women's Basketball Weekend Preview for Feb. 10-11

PRINCETON, N.J. -- The second weekend in February brings the second weekend of back-to-back Ivy League games for all eight teams as they battle for positioning in the conference standings on Friday and Saturday night.

For the second-straight week, the top two teams in the League entering the weekend will square off when Princeton, currently in first-place with a 5-0 record, takes on Harvard, currently in second-place with a 4-1 mark, at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday in Cambridge, Mass. Last week, Princeton defeated then-second-place Yale, 72-47. The Tigers will also face Dartmouth while Harvard will host Penn.

Bulldogs’ head coach Chris Gobrecht will again go for her 500th career win at home against Cornell on Friday or possibly against Columbia on Saturday. Brown will also square off against the Big Red and the Lions; the Bears are in fifth-place in the Ivy standings with a 3-3 record.

“Inside Ivy League Basketball” returns for its ninth episode on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Hosted by Dan Loney and Brian Seltzer, “Inside” takes an in-depth look at all the news and notes surrounding Ivy men's and women's basketball on and off the courts during the 2011-12 season. The 12-episode show debuted Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. on BlogTalkRadio.com (blogtalkradio.com/insideivyleaguebasketball) and is available on-demand via BlogTalkRadio and IvyLeagueSports.com.
