PRINCETON, N.J. -- Princeton women's basketball senior Niveen Rasheed has picked up her third and fourth preseason honors. The Tiger co-captain was named to the prestigious Wooden Award Women's Preseason Top 30 as well as the Naismith Women's College Player of the Year early watch list.

The Naismith women's Trophy is the most prestigious national award presented annually to the women's college basketball player of the year.

The reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, Rasheed is the lone Ivy player to be named to the either national list. Rasheed, a 2012 First-Team All-Ivy and USBWA Player of the Year nominee, concluded the 2011-12 campaign by leading the Tigers in nearly every statistical category and was one of the league's top performers throughout the season. She averaged 16.4 points, 8.8 boards, 2.9 assists and 2.4 steals per game.

Rasheed has been honored this preseason already, as College Sports Madness named her the Ivy Preseason Player of the Year and an All-Mid Major and All-Ivy First Team selection.

Both awards will be announced in April of 2013. The Wooden Award winner will be awarded in Los Angeles, while the Naismith recipient will be named in New Orleans.
