PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Princeton women’s basketball team looks to hold on to their two-game lead in the League standings while extending their conference winning streak to a League-record 33 games.

Princeton has won 31-straight Ivy League contests, the second-longest current streak behind No. 1 Baylor, which has won 36-consecutive regular-season conference games.

The current Ivy League record is 32-straight conference wins, accomplished by Harvard between the 1995-96 and 1997-98 seasons. The Tigers can tie and break that record this weekend with games against Columbia (3-18, 1-6 Ivy) and Cornell (11-10, 3-4 Ivy). Princeton has already defeated each team, 87-41 over the Lions on Feb. 2 and 77-46 over the Big Red on Feb. 1. Princeton has won its first seven Ivy contests by an average of 30.3 points per game.

Penn (12-9, 5-2 Ivy) vaulted itself into second-place last week with a sweep of Harvard and Dartmouth, its first since 2003-04 and the first at home since 2000-01. The Quakers will also be going for the season sweep of Columbia and Cornell, as they defeated the Lions, 52-40 on Feb. 1, and the Big Red, 65-56 on Feb. 2.

Dartmouth (6-15, 4-3 Ivy) and Harvard (13-8, 4-3 Ivy), the two teams that had been tied for second-place before running into Penn and Princeton, look to bounce back with home games against Brown (7-15, 1-7 Ivy) and Yale (9-13, 4-4 Ivy). The Big Green had been on a four-game winning streak and the Crimson had won its previous three before dropping both games last weekend. Yale has won three of its past four and is coming off its first sweep of Cornell and Columbia since the 1997-98 season. Brown, meanwhile, has dropped its last seven.

Earlier this season, the Crimson defeated Yale, 67-54, and Brown, 68-58. Dartmouth also defeated each squad, 63-48 over the Bulldogs and 49-41 over the Bears.
