Three Teams Represented On WBCA Academic Top 25

WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll Release

ATLANTA -- The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its Academic Team Honor Roll, and three Ivy League women’s basketball teams were among the top-25 in the nation in GPA.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 annually recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III; NAIA; and junior/community college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined grade point average (GPA) inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2013-14 season was the 19th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

Cornell was the first Ivy League team listed, coming in at No. 20. The Big Red was followed by Yale (No. 23) and Brown (No. 24).

The Ivy League is one of three conferences to place three teams on the list, as the Summit League and Missouri Valley Conference also accomplished the feat.

Yale earned the honor for the third-straight season, while Brown and Cornell received the award for the second-consecutive year.
