PRINCETON, N.J. -- Penn women's basketball head coach Mike McLaughlin, senior guard Alyssa Baron and freshman center Sydney Stipanovich participated in the Ivy League's postseason media teleconference to discuss the Quakers' season and their NCAA Divison I Women's Basketball Championship matchup with Texas.
Penn is seeded is a program-best 12th in the Louisville Region and takes on the fifth-seeded Longhorns on Sunday, March 23 at the Comcast Center in College Park, Md. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. EDT on ESPN and ESPN3 with Bob Wischusen and Christy Winters-Scott on the call.
Penn is making its third NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2003-04. This season, the Quakers claimed their third overall Ivy League title with a 12-2 mark in conference play that included an 80-64 win over Princeton in the final game of the season to win the Ivy crown. Penn is 22-6 overall.
