Women’s Golf Fall Update 1
PRINCETON, N.J. – All seven of the Ivy League women’s golf teams will be in action this weekend, with six of those teams making their 2010 fall season debuts.
Princeton will host the 14th annual Princeton Invitational on
Sept. 18 and 19 at the Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J.
Amongst the 11 teams joining the Tigers for the 54-hole tournament
are Ivy League squads from Columbia, Harvard, Penn and Yale.
The Princeton Invitational will mark the first event of the
season for Princeton, Harvard, Penn and Yale, while Columbia is
coming off a 16th-place showing at the Wolverine Invitational,
which concluded on Sept. 12. At that tournament, Michelle
Piyapattra led the Lions by finishing tied for 21st at
18-over par (73-76-82-231).
Brown will travel north to join Dartmouth as both teams open
their 2010-11 seasons at the Dartmouth Invitational. The tournament
will also take place on Sept. 18 and 19 and will be contested at
the Hanover Golf Club in Hanover, N.H.
