Women's Golf Season Reaches Full Swing This Weekend
PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League women's golf championship season kicks into full gear this weekend with each of the squad seeing tournament action.
Brown heads to Bedminster, N.J. this weekend for the Lady Pirate Invitational. Brown is coming off a fourth place team finish at the Delaware Invitational and then dropped a head-to-head match to the Blue Hens last weekend in California.
Columbia comes into the weekend riding the momentum of a first place team triumph at the Monterey Bay Invitational last weekend in California. The Lions placed five individuals in the top-five, including individual champion Monique Ishikawa.
Yale comes into the weekend with the most course action throughout the spring. In their latest competition, the Bulldogs finished third in the 16-team field at the Hoya Invitational.
Dartmouth, Penn and Princeton will see its first action of the spring this weekend when they join Brown and Yale at the Lady Pirate Invitational in Bedminster, N.J. The weekend tournament is set for April 5-6.
Harvard heads south to kick off its spring schedule as the Crimson travel to Mississippi to take part in the Ole Miss Rebel Intercollegiate. The three-day tournament runs April 4-6 at the Ole Miss Golf Course.
The Ivy League Women's Golf Championships are set for April 25-27 at Baltustrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J.
