No. 1 Maryland Defeats Princeton Women's Lacrosse 15-6

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Defending national champion Maryland used a late run in the first half to surge past Princeton en route to a 15-6 run in the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Quarterfinals on Saturday, May 21 at the Field Hockey/Lacrosse Complex in College Park, Md.

Maryland had a slim 34-21 edge in shots, while Princeton won the ground ball battle 13-10 and won 11 of 21 draw controls. Princeton goalie senior Erin Tochihara made 14 saves while junior Brittany Dipper stopped a career-high 15 shots on the other end.

Cassie Pyle finished the game with two goals and an assist, the only multiple-point scorer for the Tigers. For the Terps, Katie Schwarzmann had six points, Sarah Mollison had five, while Kristy Black and Laura Merrifield both recorded hat tricks. Alex Aust would contribute two points.

Princeton concludes its season 12-7 overall.
