PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League women’s lacrosse weekly awards were announced, with Penn freshman Erin Barry receiving Offensive Player of the Week and Princeton senior Ellie DeGarmo earning Defensive Player of the Week honors.

LEAGUE NOTES
• The Ancient Eight went 6-2 last week, with one of those losses coming to a top-10 team.

• The Ivy League is now 25-7 in non-conference action, for a winning percentage of .781.

• Princeton picked up a big win, defeating No. 8 Notre Dame, 14-8. The Tigers are 5-0 and off to their best start since 2008, when they opened 10-0.

• The upcoming week features four games on The Ivy League Digital Network (ILDN), now available on Apple TV and Roku via the ILDN app, including the 12th-ranked Quakers against No. 16 Duke on Saturday.

• In other non-conference action, No. 4 USC takes an Ivy trip against Dartmouth on Friday and No. 11 Cornell on Sunday, while Harvard takes on NO. 5 Syracuse in Orlando, Fla.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Penn freshman midfielder Erin Barry (Manhasset, N.Y.) finished with nine points in two games to lead the Quakers to a pair of victories. For the week, she recorded eight goals, one assist, eight ground balls, seven draw controls and two caused turnovers. Her six goals against Lehigh are the most in a single game by a Penn freshman since Ali DeLuca in 2007.

Barry is the third Quaker to be named Offensive Player of the Week this season, joining Caroline Cummings (Feb. 20) and Alex Condon (Feb. 27).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Princeton senior goalie Ellie DeGarmo (Baltimore) was stellar in the team’s 14-8 win over No. 8 Notre Dame, allowing only eight goals while recorded nine saves and a 52.9 save percentage. She helped the Tigers D limit the Irish to its lowest scoring output of the season.

DeGarmo earns her second Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season and sixth of her career.
