Five Ivies Advance on First Day of CSA Women's Team Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Five Ivy League teams advanced to the semifinal round of the 2013 College Squash Association (CSA) Women's Team Championships played Friday on the Yale campus. 

In the Howe Cup, top-seeded Princeton blanked Brown, 9-0, to advance to a semifinal match-up with fourth-seeded Trinity on Saturday. Trinity eliminated Yale, 7-2. Penn and Harvard will meet in the other semifinal, guaranteeing all Ivy final. Harvard shutout Stanford, 9-0, while Penn eliminated Cornell with an 8-1 win. 

In the Kurtz Cup, Dartmouth and Columbia will meet in a semifinal on Saturday. Dartmouth advanced with a 9-0 win over Amherst, while Columbia beat George Washington, 8-1, to move into the semifinal round. The winner of the Dartmouth-Columbia match will meet the Middlebury-Bates winner in Sunday's final.
