ATHENS, Ga. -- Dropping the first set didn't deter the Princeton pair of Taylor Marable and Hilary Bartlett from rallying to win their first-round match in the doubles tournament Thursday night at the 2010 NCAA Division Women???s Tennis Championships at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.

Marable and Bartlett, ranked No. 27 in the nation by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, knocked off 16th-ranked Melissa Koning and Irene Rehberger of South Florida 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 to advance to Friday's round of 16.

The Tiger pair will face the No. 4 overall seed of the eight seeded teams in the bracket of 32, Andrea Remynse and Yasmin Schnack of UCLA, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bruin twosome is also the fourth-ranked team in the nation by the ITA. Remynse and Schnack were straight-set winners over a duo from Old Dominion in the first round.

The victory comes a year after Bartlett and Marable were on the other side of a three-set first-round match against a pair from Mississippi in what was the first appearance since 2002 for a Princeton player in the NCAA singles or doubles postseason.
