Five Teams, 26 Student-Athletes Earn 2010 ITA Women's Tennis Academic Awards
SKILLMAN, N.J. -- Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard and Yale were honored as All-Academic Teams for earning a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater for their respective squad. Led by eight Yale selections, the Ivy League had 26 student-athletes from five institutions earning distinction for maintaining grade-point averages of 3.5 or above.
The League’s 2010 ITA Women’s Scholar-Athletes are:
Brown (7) - Kathrin Sorokko, Emily Ellis, Marisa Schonfeld, Casey Herzberg, Cate Steward, Julie Flanzer and Jenny Lee
Cornell (6) - Geraldine Leong, Kirsten Kohagen, Leah Seyburn, Ruxandra Dumitrescu, Sinziana Chis and Susan Sullivan
Dartmouth (6) - Jesse Adler, Carley Markovitz, Julia Zak, Georgie Smyser, Sarah Leonard and Ashley Mitchell
Harvard (3) - Holly Cao, Louise Laciny and Samantha Gridley
Yale (4) - Sarah Lederhandler, Lindsay Clark, Stefana Petrelli and Ersilia DeFilippis
