Women's Tennis Opens Spring Slate This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Ivy League women's tennis is
back on the courts for the spring dual schedule with four teams in
action this weekend.
Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn and Yale each open at home with the
Quakers playing a doubleheader against Lehigh and Saint Joseph's on
Saturday, Jan. 19. Dartmouth hosts Boston on Saturday, while
Harvard gets underway with Cleveland State and Yale welcomes
Delaware State on Sunday, Jan. 20.
Brown, Columbia and Yale open their spring slates on Jan. 26-28
participating in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA)
Kick-Off Weekend that will take place at 15 sites across the
country. The Bears join Missouri, South Carolina at Michigan, the
Lions join Georgia State and Oklahoma State at Georgia and the
Bulldogs join Illinois and Vanderbilt at Ole Miss in a two-day,
two-match format.
Cornell opens its spring schedule Jan. 25-27, hosting its winter
invitational. Dartmouth and Harvard are also in action in home
matches over that stretch. Princeton makes its spring debut on
Wednesday, Jan. 30 playing host to Temple.
THE IVY LEAGUE IN THE ITA RANKINGS
The Ivy League enters the spring with three teams ranked and a
solid presence among the individual rankings with seven singles
players and seven doubles teams ranked in the Jan. 3 ITA
